Mr. Ernest G. Ludy, known as Ernie, founded Thomson Medstat (formerly, Medstat Systems and MEDSTAT Group) in 1981, and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Ludy served as the Chairman of the Board at Rubicon Genomics, Inc. He serves as a Director of Nighthawk Radiology Services, LLC. He also serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at Arboretum Ventures. He serves as a Member of Advisory Boards of the Life Sciences Institute at the University of Michigan and the Sustainable Sciences Institute in San Francisco. He served as a Director of Wellmark, Inc. since 2007. He served as a Director of NightHawk Radiology Holdings, Inc. from June 23, 2006 to February 2008.
He established The Ludy Family Foundation in 1995. Mr. Ludy serves as a Member of the National Health Council's Advisory Commission on Patient-Centered Care. He is on the Leadership Advisory Council of the Life Sciences Institute at the University of Michigan, and on the Advisory Board of Room to Read, in San Francisco, California.
He is currently doing research for a book on national health policy. Mr. Ludy holds a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Detroit.
